Comedian I Go Save has criticised Nigerians celebrating the cancellation of Burna Boy’s shows in the United States following his row with a female fan.
Weeks ago, Burna Boy halted his performance and asked a female fan to leave after noticing she appeared to be sleeping during his set. Interpreting it as disrespect, he instructed security to escort her out of the venue. The incident sparked backlash, with some Nigerians in the U.S. calling for a boycott of his concerts.
Two of his shows — in Chicago and Minneapolis — were cancelled recently due to poor ticket sales, prompting jubilant reactions from some social media users.
Reacting in a post shared on his Instagram Stories, I Go Save slammed those celebrating the cancellations, describing their behaviour as “witchcraft.”
