A woman has been accused of attempting to steal money from an elderly man’s bank account after allegedly swapping his ATM card with a fake one under the pretense of helping him.
According to reports, after switching the card, the woman proceeded to a nearby ATM where she tried to withdraw cash using the man’s real card.
The victim, however, quickly noticed the switch and alerted bank staff, who promptly intervened. The woman was subsequently apprehended by security personnel.
A video circulating online shows security operatives confronting the suspect, while a crowd gathered outside the bank’s gate, reportedly eager to catch a glimpse of the alleged thief.
