Photos that have gone viral online show the pair enjoying a relaxed and affectionate afternoon at sea. The two were seen embracing, with one image capturing Trudeau kissing Perry on the cheek, while another shows them sharing a kiss, effectively putting to rest weeks of speculation about their relationship status.
This public display of affection comes just weeks after reports suggested the duo had grown distant. Sources previously claimed that Trudeau was uncomfortable with the media attention following their dinner date in Montreal. However, the latest images suggest that the connection between the two is still very much alive.
Eyewitnesses told the Daily Mail that the pair didn’t shy away from affection. “She pulled up her boat next to a small whale-watching boat, then they started making out,” one onlooker said. “I didn’t realise who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately knew it was Justin Trudeau.”
Rumors of a romance began circulating in July when the pair were first spotted dining together in Montreal. Trudeau was later seen attending one of Perry’s sold-out ‘Lifetimes’ tour shows in Canada, further fueling speculation.
Katy Perry recently ended her engagement to actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025, after seven years together. The former couple continues to co-parent their daughter, Daisy Dove, born in August 2020.
Trudeau announced his separation from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three children: Xavier (17), Ella-Grace (16), and Hadrien (11).
