Media personality Daddy Freeze has taken to Instagram to celebrate convicted internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, as he marks his birthday behind bars in the United States.
Despite Hushpuppi’s conviction and ongoing jail term for fraud-related offenses, Daddy Freeze shared a heartfelt message in his honor.
Posting a photo of Hushpuppi on Instagram, Freeze wrote:
“Bless your day Hush. My friend that was there for me when Naija pastors & their followers came for me. Love you loads brother. Age with grace. Blessings always.”
Hushpuppi is currently serving time in a U.S. federal prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of cyber fraud and money laundering, which defrauded individuals and organizations around the world of millions of dollars.
Daddy Freeze’s public message has stirred mixed reactions online, with some praising his loyalty to a friend, while others questioned the wisdom of publicly celebrating a convicted fraudster.
