Beauty entrepreneur and influencer, Laura Ikeji, has spoken out about the challenges faced by hardworking women in a society that often rewards beauty and connections over genuine effort.
In a recent post, Laura expressed concern that in today’s Nigeria, many women who put in little or no work often live more comfortably than those who hustle daily to earn an honest living.
She wrote:
“In a country where girls who do not work earn more than girls who work hard… In a country where girls will be fine and make so much money because they are fine… In a country where girls will date certain men and become wealthy from that without working hard… Please, if you have a woman in your life who is working hard, buy from her. It’s not easy.”
Laura urged Nigerians to support women who have chosen the legitimate path, emphasizing that despite the temptations of fast money, many still choose to work for every naira they earn
