A 55-year-old man, Adamu Mohammed, from Zahi Village in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has been abducted and allegedly accused of witchcraft by members of a neighbouring community.
According to a report made by his son, Umaru Adamu, to the police, the incident occurred on September 19, 2025, when a group of men from Dangarfa Village stormed their home. The attackers allegedly abducted his father, stripped him naked, beat him, and threatened to k!ll him.
The abductors reportedly forced Mohammed to cross over a sick woman, identified as Hajiya Zuwaira Bature, three times, accusing him of being behind her ailment. They later took him to a local chemist for supposed treatment.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed that one of the suspects, Abdulwahabu Abdulrahman, later took the victim to his house but claimed the man eventually escaped to an unknown location.
Police have confirmed the arrest of three suspects linked to the incident, while efforts are ongoing to trace the whereabouts of the victim and apprehend others still at large.
