A staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu in Bauchi State, Khamis Musa, has pledged to donate his September salary to support the 65th birthday anniversary project of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The First Lady, who will turn 65 on September 21, 2025, announced that instead of receiving gifts, cakes, or newspaper greetings, she would prefer well-wishers to contribute funds toward completing the National Library project.

In her words: “By the special grace of God, I will be turning 65 years old on the 21st September 2025, and this happens to be a Sunday. This is why I have decided to dedicate the day to God for all His blessings in my life and have a quiet birthday. I wish to appeal to those who would like to send a birthday card, cakes, flowers, greetings in the newspapers, or gifts to please send the funds to the designated account for a special project close to my heart… the completion of the National Library. This would be the best birthday present I could receive.”

Reacting to her appeal, Khamis told The Guardian that he would be donating his September salary to the cause, describing the First Lady’s initiative as “a genuine effort to support education in Nigeria that deserves encouragement from all well-meaning citizens.”
