Big Brother Naija star Venita Akpofure responded today to a comment on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting she still suffers nightmares from the harsh words she received from former housemate Doyin Haastrup during the 2023 BBNaija All Stars season.
Doyin and Venita clashed multiple times during the show. In a heated moment during a live eviction, Doyin accused Venita of being mean-spirited and making life difficult for others in the house.
Speaking to the show’s host, Ebuka, Doyin said:
“I think she is a very mean girl. I think she thrives on belittling people, antagonizing people. When she is not cool with you, she wants the entire space to not be comfortable for you to live in. I think that is a very mean thing to do considering the fact that she is quite old, I expect a lot of maturity from her and she lacks all the maturity. She is just very disappointing.
I said if she wasn’t in a ‘ship’, she would be out of the show by now. She owes Adekunle a big thank you for still being on the show. 100%.”
On Sunday, August 31, an X user posted a throwback video of Doyin’s comments and wrote,
“I bet Venita still has nightmares from this.”
Venita saw the comment and responded on X, pushing back against the suggestion. She also threatened legal action against another user who claimed many in the entertainment industry agreed with Doyin’s remarks.
