Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, on Wednesday night, August 7, hosted a state dinner in honour of Super Falcons star and state indigene, Francisca Mlumun Ordega.
The event celebrated Ordega’s contributions to Nigeria’s women’s national football team, which recently clinched its 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
During the ceremony, Governor Alia announced a cash reward of ₦50 million for Ordega, presented her with a three-bedroom flat, and revealed that a street in the state would be renamed in her honour.
Notable guests at the dinner included music icon 2Baba (Innocent Idibia), who also hails from Benue State.
