Logistics manager Israel DMW has reacted to the Supreme Court’s dismissal of Asue Ighodalo’s petition challenging the outcome of the Edo State governorship election.
Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the September 2023 election and Israel’s preferred choice for the 2024 rerun, had approached the Supreme Court seeking to overturn the declaration of Governor Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected governor of Edo State.
However, in a ruling delivered today, July 10, the Supreme Court dismissed Ighodalo’s petition, describing it as lacking merit.
