Relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO has shared a heartfelt video addressing why many people find it difficult to experience love, attributing it to unhealed trauma and negative emotional conditioning.

In the video, which she posted on Instagram, Blessing encouraged her followers to reflect inward and begin the healing process. She emphasized that being “damaged” isn’t a flaw but rather the result of unresolved pain.

“A lot of you are damaged. When you’re damaged, everything beautiful feels too good to be true,” she said.

Speaking directly to those who struggle to trust love because of past experiences, Blessing pointed out how constant exposure to negativity—especially through social media and blogs that amplify breakups and scandals—has conditioned many people to expect the worst in relationships.

“The reason why you’re damaged is because you do not take the lessons out of the experience. Once you take out the lessons, you become peaceful,” she explained.

She urged viewers not to generalize or project one bad experience onto everyone else, stressing that “men are not wicked” and “women are not wicked”—it’s often about the individuals we choose to let into our lives.

Drawing from personal insight and spiritual reflection, she closed her message with a powerful reminder:

“Love is beautiful. The only problem is, you don’t believe you deserve it. But you do.”
