Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to a recent post by former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, who criticized the lawmaker for allegedly securing a remand order against TikToker Timothy Gabriel, popularly known as Tuma.

A few months ago, Tuma shared a controversial video on social media, making serious allegations against actress Regina Daniels, who is Nwoko’s sixth wife. In the video, Tuma claimed Regina had a boyfriend in Abuja, where she resides with her husband. He also alleged that he knew the hotel where Regina and her supposed lover usually met to engage in what he described as “dirty things.” Furthermore, he insinuated that Regina’s two children were not fathered by Nwoko.

Tuma dared the couple to take legal action against him, prompting them to involve the police. A suit was subsequently filed, leading to Tuma’s arrest and remand in prison.

Reacting to the development on Friday, June 20, Sowore took to social media to accuse Nwoko of fraudulently obtaining a remand order. He argued that Tuma had merely “insulted” a prominent individual and did not commit a serious crime such as rape, and therefore, should not have been remanded.

In response, Senator Nwoko released the controversial video made by Tuma and dismissed both Sowore and the TikToker as “busybodies and nonentities.”

He concluded his statement by saying, “One million cyberbullies will not stop Tuma from being prosecuted and punished as appropriate.”
