Peter Okoye has disowned his brothers while denying claims that he failed to support dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan when she accused his brothers of mistreating her in the music industry.

On the night of June 4, Peter took to social media to accuse his brothers of hiring publicists to damage his reputation and portray him as dishonest.

He emphasized that he is not like singers May D or Cynthia Morgan. For context, both May D and Cynthia Morgan were formerly signed to Jude Okoye’s record label but later publicly accused him of unfair treatment.

Following Peter’s recent statements, many Nigerians criticized him for only speaking out now that the issue personally affects him, after remaining silent while May D and Cynthia Morgan voiced their grievances.

In response, Peter shared posts from 2020 where he expressed support for Cynthia Morgan, aiming to prove his earlier solidarity with her.
