Veteran entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charley Boy or Area Fada, has criticized former Abia State governor and current senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, for publicly endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
Kalu stirred controversy when he attended Tuesday’s plenary session at the Senate wearing an outfit emblazoned with the inscription “Tinubu for President 2027.”
Reacting to the senator’s attire, Charley Boy took to Instagram to express his disapproval. He wrote:
“See dis clown. Some of these my yeye useless Igbo brothers have taken sycophancy to another level. It is a Tufiakwa situation. Dia Fathers. Criminals everywhere. Can someone pls answer me?”
Charley Boy’s comments have sparked discussions online, with many weighing in on the appropriateness of political endorsements this early into President Tinubu’s administration.
