Security forces have launched a search-and-rescue operation following the abduction of a female staff member of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to sources who spoke with security analyst Zagazola Makama, a group of armed men stormed a residence in the Rantya community at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, and kidnapped Mrs. Kate Jonathan Akpabio.
Upon receiving a distress call, troops from the Nigerian Army and personnel from other security agencies were swiftly mobilized to the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the assailants had already taken the victim to an undisclosed location before the arrival of security operatives.
