Dancer and singer Korra Obidi recently shared a heartfelt message following a surprising co-parenting moment that left her both heartbroken and confused.
In a new video, Korra revealed that her daughter’s long hair was unexpectedly cut while spending time at her father’s house. “Please, what would you do if you pick up your child from their father’s house — while co-parenting — and see that they’ve chopped your child’s hair?” she asked, visibly emotional yet composed.
Korra explained that her daughter June, who used to have beautiful long hair, now sports a tiny afro after more than half of her hair was cut without Korra’s knowledge or consent.
“This is the story of my life, guys,” she said.
Instead of reacting with anger, Korra focused on adapting to her daughter’s new look. In the video, she was seen styling June’s shorter hair by braiding the front and experimenting with different ways to keep it looking cute. “Before, I would put it in a ponytail. But baby girl has no hair anymore.”
While Korra didn’t name or directly blame anyone, her disappointment was evident. “My sister and I saw how co-parenting works in America. Me, I don’t know,” she added.
Despite the emotional moment, the mother of two emphasized her choice to maintain peace and positivity. “I’m not going to bust the windows out of anybody’s car. You go dey do yourself. God no go deal with you.”
