Gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, have killed the District Head of Odugbeho community in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, HRH Chief Anthony Adejo.
The monarch was murdered by the marauding herdsmen on his farm at around 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
One source, Edo Seidu, stated, “His killers took his mobile phone along with other personal items, and it was confirmed they had killed the monarch when calls were made to his phone.”
“I spoke with him on Tuesday, and we had an appointment to meet on Wednesday. When I couldn’t reach him, I called again and received the tragic news.”
“Chief Adejo was a great man who respected everyone, regardless of who you were or where you came from.”
