Tactical operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested eight individuals suspected to be involved in a series of cult-related killings in and around Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). The arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation conducted on April 29, 2025.
The suspects have been identified as Adeyemo Abdulsamad (male, 24), also known as “Cloud”; Afeez Enitan (male, 28); Ayomide Daniel (male, 30); Olamilekan Adeagbo (male, 26), aka “Skinny”; Mayor Samson (male, 28); Basit Ishola (male, 20); Quadri Sikiru (male, 26); and Mariam Salihu (female, 23).
Recovered during the operation were several dangerous items, including one Beretta pistol, four rounds of 9mm ammunition, one cartridge, two battle axes, and two cutlasses.
The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged accordingly upon the conclusion of preliminary inquiries.
