President Bola Tinubu is embarking on a trip to Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of a robust effort to promote Nigeria and attract foreign direct investment.
Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, speaking at the Presidential Villa, announced that President Tinubu is set to attend the Saudi-Africa Summit and the Arab-African Summit scheduled for November 10th and 11th, 2023.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia, President Tinubu will engage in discussions covering a range of critical topics, including economic ties between the regions, counterterrorism, environmental concerns, and agriculture.
In his role as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Tinubu will play a pivotal role in advocating for the deepening of the partnership between the two regions.
Moreover, discussions will center on accelerating trade and investment between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the African continent.
President Tinubu’s vision is to ensure that Nigeria, within the context of the continent, maximizes the opportunities presented by the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, creating a single trade market encompassing over 1 billion Africans. The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa anticipates that by 2050, the continental market will surpass $29 trillion.
