UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced that British intelligence will assist Israel in bringing terrorists to justice who have committed heinous acts, resulting in the loss of at least 700 lives and the abduction of over 100 hostages.
In an extraordinary display of solidarity, Prime Minister Sunak, during a statement on Sunday evening, pledged ‘unwavering support’ for Benjamin Netanyahu and indicated that MI6 would collaborate with Israel to track down the Hamas militants responsible for the bloodiest attack the country has endured in half a century.
Mr. Sunak conveyed that he had engaged in a conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Mr. Netanyahu, and offered to provide ‘diplomatic or security support,’ firmly declaring that ‘terrorism will not prevail.’
A source within the UK government revealed that this unprecedented offer encompasses potential assistance in identifying ‘threats and targets.’
Additionally, Downing Street demonstrated its support by illuminating the building with the Israeli flag as a symbol of unity. Mr. Sunak, who shared an image of this display on Twitter, stated: ‘We stand with Israel.’
Meanwhile, the UK government is actively working to ascertain the status of UK citizens in Israel, particularly in light of the attacks, which tragically claimed the life of at least one British man serving in the country’s armed forces.
Prime Minister Sunak denounced the Palestinian militants for their ‘appalling act of terror’ against Israel and characterized the events of the past 36 hours, during which at least 700 individuals perished, as ‘truly horrifying.’
In a statement delivered from Chequers on Sunday, Mr. Sunak declared: ‘The scenes that we’ve witnessed in Israel over the past 36 hours are genuinely horrifying.
‘I wish to express my unwavering solidarity with the people of Israel. Now is not the time for ambiguity, and I am unequivocal. Hamas, along with those who support them, bear full responsibility for this abominable act of terror, the targeting of innocent civilians, and the abduction of innocent individuals, including children.’
Mr. Sunak disclosed that he had conversed with the Israeli Prime Minister earlier in the day to offer enduring UK support, reiterating, ‘Terrorism will not prevail.’
Britain’s Prime Minister conveyed his readiness to provide ‘any support’ that Israel may require during a conversation with the Israeli Prime Minister, according to Downing Street.
Furthermore, Mr. Sunak emphasized his commitment to ‘ensuring the safety and security of the Jewish community in the UK during these trying times,’ as indicated in an official statement.

‘The Prime Minister also underscored his dedication to ensuring that the Jewish community in the UK feels safe and secure at this critical juncture. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact as the situation unfolds.’
