Kanye West has allegedly violated Italian law by donning a face mask in public while enjoying an extended vacation in Italy alongside his partner, Bianca Censori.
According to Italian anti-terror and public order regulations, wearing any item that obstructs an individual’s identification is prohibited and may result in a maximum fine of up to 2,000 Euros.
Throughout their six-week sojourn in Italy, the provocative rapper has been spotted wearing a mask in various cities, including Venice, Florence, and most recently, Milan, where they attended Fashion Week.
In addition to these allegations, authorities in Venice have initiated an investigation into Kanye and Bianca following an incident in which they were discovered in a “compromising position” aboard a water taxi last month.

They sparked controversy after she was pictured in an outfit that exposed her bare buttocks, while she was kneeling in front of him.

In other photographs, Kanye, aged 46, was observed seated in the rear of a water taxi alongside 28-year-old Australian Bianca, who was resting her head in his lap.
Venice law enforcement has already identified the boat’s operator and has also requested photographers to surrender the images that garnered global attention.
Now, it has come to light that Kanye may face additional scrutiny for potentially violating article 533 of Italian law, which was introduced in 1977 to combat domestic terrorism.
According to the law, “it is prohibited to use any item that obstructs an individual’s identification in a public place or in a location that is open to the public, unless a justifiable reason exists.”

The violation of the mentioned article carries a penalty ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Euros.
Kanye’s most recent public appearance occurred on Friday evening in Milan, where he conducted an interview with a local radio station after attending a fashion show by the designer Zanotti.
During the interview, he was fully covered, similar to his previous appearance in Florence, where he was also photographed in the same attire. In Florence, he and Bianca engaged in a photoshoot, with Kanye wearing a black face mask and hooded jacket, while she donned one of her well-known ‘nude’ outfits.
Kanye traveled to Milan from Florence independently, and Bianca has not been seen since Friday.
Angelo Russo, a lawyer, informed MailOnline, “Wearing any facial covering that hinders identification by law enforcement is considered an offense. This law was initially introduced in the 1970s during Italy’s domestic terrorism period and was later reinforced following international terrorist incidents. Of course, there are exceptions, such as wearing a scarf or balaclava in winter. However, wearing a full face covering at other times, especially in good weather, is not deemed reasonable, and the police have the authority to stop and question the individual.”
Authorities in Venice are currently investigating whether the couple committed any acts “contrary to public decency.” If found guilty, they could be subject to fines.
