Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has emphatically stated that Victor Osimhen will remain with the club this summer, regardless of any potential offer meeting their valuation of €200 million.
De Laurentiis shared this resolute decision while engaging with Napoli Ultras during a team retreat in Abruzzo on Wednesday, August 9.
This affirmation follows De Laurentiis’ rejection of a substantial €130 million bid from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for the talented Super Eagles striker. Presently, Osimhen is also in the midst of negotiations for a fresh contract extension.
“I want to make it clear that I have no intention of parting ways with Osimhen, not even for a sum as high as €200 million,” asserted De Laurentiis, as reported by Calcio Napoli.
He further emphasized, “Osimhen is an integral part of our plans and will remain an essential component of the team.”
In the previous season, Osimhen delivered a remarkable performance, securing the league’s top scorer title with an impressive tally of 26 goals in just 32 appearances. His exceptional achievements were crowned by the prestigious Golden Boot award, making him the inaugural African player to achieve this illustrious accolade in the league’s storied history
