President Bola Tinubu officially launched the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms in Abuja.
Four weeks ago, the President established a committee, with Taiwo Oyedele, Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), as the chairman.
This committee comprises experts from both the private and public sectors.
Adelabu Adedeji, the Special Adviser to the President on Revenue, emphasized that the President acknowledges the crucial role of a robust fiscal policy environment and an efficient taxation system in the government’s functionality and economic performance.
Adedeji further highlighted that this committee’s role extends beyond offering advisory insights; it will actively spearhead the implementation of these recommendations, aligning with the comprehensive fiscal policy and tax reform goals of the present administration.
