David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode who is a Nigerian politician, essayist, poet, and a lawyer has taken to his Official Twitter handle to react after some youths were seen protesting for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, saying that the federal government should not allow him to die while he is in their custody.
Following the arrest of the leader of Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigerian authorities, a video has surfaced on different social media platform, showing a heavy protest in Igweocha axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as many youths were seen demanding for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
In the video, the suspected IPOB members crowded the streets with Biafra flags demanding for the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In response to this video, Femi Fani-Kayode took to his Official Twitter handle to react, saying that he has said it before that the federal government should not allow Nnamdi Kanu to die in detention.
It could be recalled that Femi Fani-Kayode, in one of his recent tweet advised the federal government to ensure that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu does not die in custody, and he should be treated with decency, decorum, and respect.
