After chidinma confessed that she stabbed mr Ataga, journalists were invited to the police command headquarters in Ikeja where Chidinma was paraded and they asked her different questions on the killing of Michael Usifo Ataga. The video that showed the moment Chidinma confessed to the killing of Ataga went viral on social media and some Nigerians alleged that the suspect didn’t show any remorse while confessing to stabbing the victim.
These claims were made by some Nigerians on social media after they watched the video. During an exclusive interview with PUNCH, Chidinma said that the reason why it looked as if she didn’t show remorse was because she was trying to conduct herself while answering questions from journalists.
She also begged Mr Ataga’s family for forgiveness, adding that she regrets everything she did and doesn’t want to die.
Chidinma said, “It’s not that I’m not showing remorse, I was just trying to comport myself to answer questions during the parade. I totally regret everything I did and I hope Mr Ataga’s family forgive me. Please, I don’t want to die because of this case.”
