Abia’s First Class King, Eze Benard Enweremadu dies after 44 years on the throne

Eze Benard Enweremadu, an Abia First Class King and also the Traditional Head of Ngwaland (Ezeukwu of Ngwaukwu) is dead. 

In a statement issued at the deceased’s country home in Ahiaba Ngwaukwu Autonomous Community in Isialangwa North Local Government Area by the heir apparent and former Speaker of Abia House of Assembly Christopher Enweremadu on Saturday January 23, it was gathered that the monarch died on January 17.  

Benard who ruled for 44 years after mounting the traditional stool of Ezeukwu of Ukwu at the age of 33, was the deputy chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in the old Imo and later became the Chairman of Abia Council of Traditional Rulers.
