A video of the late Mary Habila dismissing false reports of her death has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention following her tragic passing.
The clip was shared by Anita Baaki, a close friend and former colleague of Habila. According to Anita, misleading reports claiming Mary had died began circulating on social media on June 24, 2026.
In response to the rumours, Mary recorded a video on June 25, reassuring family, friends, and supporters that she was alive, healthy, and doing well.
Sadly, just two days later, the 26-year-old was confirmed dead.
Mary Habila died on June 27, 2026. Her body was reportedly discovered inside a room in one of the buildings located within the country home of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
On July 20, Anita Baaki reposted the video on Facebook, highlighting the heartbreaking irony that Mary had publicly denied false death claims only days before her actual death.
