Singer Davido has shared the interesting story of how the lead female vixen in the music video for his hit song “Aye,” released 12 years ago, ended up starring in the project.
Speaking during an interview on Capital Xtra, the singer explained that the woman originally cast for the lead role had to pull out at the last minute due to contractual obligations.
“The girl who was meant to be the lead was in a pageant. We were about to shoot when her manager called to say the pageant organizers had reminded them she was under contract, so we couldn’t use her. We ended up using her makeup artist, and when the music video blew up, the two of them fell out.”
However, Davido later clarified the story in the comments, stating that the two friends never actually fell out.
