French Montana has sparked debate on social media after revealing he spent $200,000 on a pair of jeans from Chrome Hearts—only to realize he cannot wear them because of his religious beliefs.
The rapper, who is Muslim, explained that the denim features prominent cross patches, which made him uncomfortable wearing it.
He shared the jeans on his Instagram Story, writing: “200k for the jeans but istaghfar Allah I can’t wear them lol.”
The piece appears to be an extreme custom version of the brand’s signature cross patch denim. Chrome Hearts is known for its gothic aesthetic, with crosses and dagger motifs featured prominently across many of its designs.
