British singer Zayn Malik has revealed that he was hospitalized on the same day his new album, Konnakol, was released.
The 33-year-old shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed via his Instagram Story on Friday. While thanking fans and medical staff for their support, he did not disclose details about his condition.
“To my fans – thank you all for your love and support, now and always. It’s been a long week, and I’m still unexpectedly recovering,” the former One Direction star wrote. “I’m heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you, and I’m so grateful for your understanding.”
He also expressed appreciation to the medical team who cared for him, writing: “Thank you to all the incredible hospital staff — doctors, nurses, cardiologists, management, admin, and everyone who has helped along the way and continues to. You are all legends.”
