A stray bullet allegedly fired by suspected cultists has k!lled a 20-year-old woman identified as Blessing in the Amassoma area of Bayelsa State.
According to reports, the assailants stormed a laundry shop in the area in an attempt to attack a man. The intended target reportedly spotted them and tried to flee, prompting the gunmen to open fire. A stray bullet is said to have missed the fleeing victim and instead struck Blessing, who was returning from church at the time.
Confirming the incident, the police spokesperson, Musa Muhammed, said the victim was rushed to a hospital, where she later d!ed. He added that the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
