An Ohio woman is facing multiple charges after police said she left her seven children inside a car while she went into a gambling business.
Racqual Hicks, 37, was arrested on Thursday and pleaded not guilty on Friday to seven counts of child endangerment.
According to police, Hicks took her children—aged 15, 13, 10, 6, 2, 1, and 11 months—to Luna’s Internet Cafe and left them unattended in the vehicle for about 40 minutes.
Authorities also said she was driving with a suspended license and that some of the children were not secured in appropriate car seats.
Hicks was later released on her own recognizance and ordered to wear a GPS monitor. A court date has not yet been scheduled.
