Winnie Miller, the young woman who accused the Chairman of Ahoada Local Government Area in Rivers State, Cheta Epelle, of leading thugs to assault her after she shared a video showing the dilapidated condition of Community Secondary School, Odioku, says she has rejected the N2.5 million paid into her account by the chairman as compensation for the alleged assault.
In a post shared on Facebook a few hours ago, Winnie said the money was paid into her account by the chairman as a “bribe and compensation.” She stated that she cannot be bribed and never agreed to any form of compensation. She added that she has been trying to return the money to the account it was sent from but has been unable to do so because of network issues at the bank.
