The actress, who recently joined the United States Navy and became a U.S. citizen in 2025, addressed the remarks in a Facebook post shared on Saturday.
Reacting to the comments, the 41-year-old mother of one stated that everyone eventually “expires,” regardless of their marital status, noting that being married or divorced does not make anyone exempt.
“I read where someone said I should go and get married so I don’t expire,” she wrote. “First, is it your expire? Second, the people that are married and divorced—will they also expire? Third, you know nothing about my life.”
She went on to advise her critics to stop projecting their low self-esteem and negativity onto others, stressing that marriage is a personal choice.
“If marriage is your priority, I am happy for you. Good luck,” she added.
