MC Fish, hypeman and former husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, has spoken out against the criticism and narratives surrounding the collapse of their marriage.
Without mentioning his ex-wife by name, MC Fish responded to claims that he relied on her financially during their time together. He firmly rejected the allegation, stating that he has been an MC and hypeman for over 15 years and has always earned his own income.
He described those pushing the narrative as misguided, stressing that the marriage lasted five years and challenging anyone to prove that his former wife solely carried the financial responsibilities throughout that period.
MC Fish also addressed the constant disrespect directed at hypemen, calling out people who mock the profession online while still hiring hypemen for events and paying them handsomely.
In addition, he claimed he played a significant role in supporting his ex-wife’s growth, revealing that he helped set up businesses for her, worked on monetising her social media platforms, and at various times served as her manager, PR representative, and protocol officer.
Reacting to ongoing online attacks, MC Fish warned that if false claims continue, he would begin naming names and sharing details. He added that his silence in recent weeks was intentional, explaining that he had been extremely busy throughout December.
