The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the “no-case submission” filed by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in his terrorism trial.

Justice James Omotosho ruled that the prosecution had provided sufficient evidence establishing a case against Kanu, and therefore ordered him to open his defense on the charges.

The court also rejected Kanu’s request to be transferred from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) to the National Hospital, Abuja, for medical examination, despite his claims of deteriorating health.
