Fatima Buhari, the first daughter of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, arrived in Daura on Tuesday in tears as preparations for her father’s burial got underway.
Clearly distraught, Fatima was seen being consoled by family members and close friends, including prominent APC figure Maryam Shettima.
Other members of the Buhari family have also gathered at the late president’s Daura residence to pay their final respects.
The former president will be laid to rest today in his compound following funeral prayers scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Emir’s palace.
