She made the statement via Instagram while reacting to reports that the Italian government, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, is moving to legalise chemical castration as a treatment for violent sex offenders.
According to reports, Italian lawmakers in September approved the formation of a committee to draft legislation on the use of androgen-blocking drugs as a stricter measure against such offenders.
