British singer Jessie J has revealed she recently underwent breast cancer surgery and is now awaiting further results as she continues her health journey.

In a candid post shared on June 24, the artist—born Jessica Cornish—reflected on the emotional rollercoaster of the past 48 hours following her operation.

“Blood warning!!” she began. “This post is some of the honest lows and highs… I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through.” The message was accompanied by photos and a short video taken from her hospital bed.

She went on to express gratitude to her medical team and loved ones: “Grateful to my doctor/surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me, and all my family/friends who came to visit.”

Now back home and resting, Jessie added that she’s still waiting on additional test results. “Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!” she wrote in a show of solidarity.

Earlier this month, Jessie gave an emotional performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium, which she described as her final show before surgery. “Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer!… It’s the most special thing and I’m so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, for my son. My partner. My parents,” she told the crowd.

Jessie J first revealed her diagnosis on June 3 via Instagram, sharing that she learned the news just before the release of her April single, “No Secrets.”

“I’m highlighting the word ‘early,’” she wrote. “Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’”
