The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru has arrested a Nigerian national, identified as Chukwuma, for alleged drug trafficking during a recent raid.

According to authorities, Chukwuma was apprehended while attempting to distribute narcotics in the Avalahalli area of northern Bengaluru. The operation, carried out by the Narcotics Wing of the CCB, resulted in the seizure of MDMA and crystal substances valued at over ₹1.2 crore.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Chukwuma has been involved in drug trafficking since 2013. Police allege he imported narcotics from abroad for distribution across Bengaluru, with a particular focus on the city’s outskirts.

Officials also believe he is linked to an international drug syndicate and had been under surveillance for several weeks prior to his arrest.

Authorities have intensified their investigation to uncover the full scope of the drug network and identify additional individuals connected to the operation. Chukwuma remains in custody as further interrogations continue.
