Gunmen intercepted an 18-seater bus and abducted all its occupants along the Itobe–Ochadamu road in the Kogi East Senatorial District.
The incident reportedly occurred around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
According to sources, the bus—a fully loaded Toyota Hummer with registration number LAM 979 LG—was hijacked near Ajegwu, shortly before Ochadamu. The attackers forced all passengers into the nearby bush.
Spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, SP William Aya, stated that the command is still gathering details from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area.
