President Tinubu has stated that Nigeria’s economy is currently on the path to recovery, with the positive effects of the tough economic decisions he made since taking office in May 2023 already beginning to materialize.
Speaking in Katsina over the weekend, the President expressed confidence in the country’s progress, saying:
“Nigeria is on the path to success. The economy is turning around; it has turned the corner. When we started, the situation was challenging. There were moments when I almost wanted to avoid the news or reading the papers. I lost some courage, but I remained firm in my decision, believing that the ability of a leader to make the right decisions at the right time is the hallmark of effective leadership. We made those decisions, stuck to them, and now, it is beginning to pay off. The benefits are already becoming evident.”
