Operatives from the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC conducted an operation on Friday, October 6, 2023, resulting in the arrest of 48 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in Asaba, Delta State.
The EFCC officially announced these arrests on Monday, October 9, through their official Twitter account.
According to a statement released by the EFCC, the apprehended individuals are identified as follows:

The suspects were apprehended at various locations in Asaba based on intelligence regarding their suspicious activities.
“Items confiscated at the time of their arrest comprised nine luxurious vehicles: three Mercedes Benz GLK 350s, a Toyota Camry SE, two Lexus RX 350s, two Toyota Camry LEs, and a Mercedes Benz GLA 250 4Matic, in addition to mobile phones and laptops.”


“The individuals involved will face legal charges and will be brought to court once the investigations have been completed.”
