The 2023 Presidential Election saw Peter Obi, the presidential candidate representing the Labour Party, urging his dedicated supporters, often referred to as the ‘Obedients,’ to maintain their composure. This call comes in the wake of the recent decision by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) to dismiss his petition contesting President Tinubu’s triumph.

On Wednesday, September 6, the court rendered its verdict, ruling that Peter Obi’s challenge to the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the victor of the February 2023 presidential election lacked substantive merit.

In a recent post shared on his X social media profile this morning, Obi encouraged his followers not to lose heart, emphasizing that the pursuit of a “new and different” Nigeria may be challenging, but he remains resolute. He acknowledged that the obstacles he and his supporters face are “deeply rooted and formidable,” yet he firmly believes they are not “impossible to overcome.”
