The founder of the African Movie Academy Awards(AMMA), peace Anyiam Osigwe has passed on
It was confirmed from a statement released by the deceased family in the early hours of Tuesday.
The family described the late filmmaker as the “Ada of the family and an outstanding personality, trailblazer, titan, pathfinder, go-getter, humanitarian and one of a kind creative.
From the statement released the cause of her death was not disclosed by the family as it is still unknown at the moment, a close source revealed that the diseased died at Lagos hospital.

It is necessary to ensure that her legacy lives on the Africa movie academy awards and the Africa film academy, along with their training programmes across Nigeria and the African continent will carry on seamlessly by institutions she set up and with the full support of the osigwe anyiam foundation and other institution and government agencies with whom she has worked over the years .
The death of Ayiam Osigwe has been greatly generating reaction from the movie industry, as they are pouring out tribute on their respective social media page.
