The brother of American rapper Archie Eversole has been charged with his murder.

According to investigators, Alexander Kraus, shot Eversole on March 25. Eversole died from his injuries on April 3.

Kraus was arrested after the shooting, WSB reported and charged with aggravated assault, but his charges were upgraded to murder after Eversole, 37, died.

Eversole, whose real name is Arthur Eversole, was best known for his 2002 hit “We Ready.” Eversole was 17 years old when he released his debut album, “Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style.”

“He was a great and loving man. He was really genuine and loved everyone,” Jordan Hughley, identified as Eversole’s nephew, told the Sun.

Officers found Eversole suffering from a gunshot wound at a Chevron gas station.

Archie’s most famous song was 2002’s “We Ready,” from his debut album Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style. He released the record when he was just 17 years old, and it went on to become a beloved staple, particularly at football and some soccer games across the country. The NFL released a commercial featuring the track in 2019.

NFL free agent Robert Griffin III described “We Ready” as “the greatest Game Day anthem ever” in a tweet upon hearing of Eversole’s death.

Archie Eversole also worked with Atlanta United in 2018 to write the soccer team’s anthem “United We Conquer.”
