Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries and son of Bishop David Oyedepo, has announced that his ministry will not collect offerings, following what he described as God’s direct instruction.

Church Times reported on Tuesday, January 13, that Oyedepo shared the announcement in an online message the publication monitored.

In a video posted on Sunday, January 11, he emphasized that the ministry’s main focus is discipleship and equipping people to follow Jesus, rather than financial practices.

On the subject of money, Oyedepo clarified that “God gave him specific instructions not to collect offerings.” While acknowledging that collecting offerings is a common and acceptable practice in many ministries, he stressed that for his particular assignment, his focus must remain entirely on the spiritual development of his followers.

Isaac Oyedepo explained that his approach mirrors the early ministry of Jesus Christ. “All Jesus did during His early ministry was make disciples; the fire fell, and they were filled and refilled. Before He left, He commanded us to do the same,” he said.

He further highlighted the importance of a “consistent journey” through the Word of God for spiritual growth. “How healthy would our churches be if people were truly deep in the Scriptures?” he asked.

Before founding his own ministry, Isaac Oyedepo served for several years at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), the ministry established by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
