The funeral prayer service for two close friends of British boxing star Anthony Joshua—Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, will be held in London on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The bodies of Ghami and Ayodele have been returned to the United Kingdom following their passing in a road accident in Nigeria.
The service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
Details of the funeral were announced on Saturday, January 3, by Boxing King Media. In the statement, the organization expressed condolences, noting that their thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the deceased.
Ghami and Ayodele were travelling with Anthony Joshua on Monday, December 29, 2025, when the vehicle they were in was involved in a collision along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Joshua sustained minor injuries and survived the incident, while his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, and his personal trainer, Latif “Latz” Ayodele, passed away at the scene.
The London funeral will give family members, friends, and members of the boxing community the opportunity to come together and pay their final respects.
