Kim Kardashian has opened up about the surprising results of a recent brain scan that revealed “low brain activity” and an aneurysm she says has been in her brain “for years.”
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star met once again with celebrity physician Dr. Daniel Amen, who explained that her scan showed unusually low activity in the frontal lobes.
Kim immediately pushed back, responding, “That just can’t be. It just can’t. I’m not accepting.”
Dr. Amen linked the low activity to chronic stress — a connection Kim admitted made sense given the pressure she has faced while studying for the bar exam and navigating the long-term emotional impact of her divorce from Kanye West.
Trying to lighten the mood, Kim joked, “I have a beautiful brain. I’ve heard that before,” referencing earlier scans performed on Khloé and Kendall in 2022.
Despite the concerning markers, Dr. Amen reassured her that she did not appear to be at high risk for Alzheimer’s and praised her resilient outlook. He noted, however, that “holes” appearing on the scan — indicators of low activity — suggested her frontal lobes were struggling to cope with ongoing stress.
At the time of the appointment, Kim was preparing for the California Bar Exam. Just two weeks earlier, she revealed she had failed the July 2025 sitting. Still, she remained determined, saying, “I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s*** to do this summer.”
In a previous episode, Kim also told Kourtney that a Prenuvo full-body scan had detected a long-standing aneurysm. After consulting with renowned brain surgeon Dr. Keith Black, she learned that intense stress could increase the risk of complications.
Kim has attributed much of her stress to her demanding study schedule, co-parenting responsibilities, and the emotional strain following her 2022 divorce.
