Former Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom — a close ally of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike — was on Tuesday, November 18, forced to leave the PDP national headquarters after a faction loyal to Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed took control of the premises.

Witnesses said tension escalated when some party members began shouting at Ortom, insisting he had no place in the building. “Let him out! Who is he? This is not your PDP!” they yelled, prompting party officials to escort him outside.

The incident occurred shortly before Governors Makinde and Bala Mohammed addressed the press, underscoring the deepening internal power struggle within the party as rival blocs push to assert control.
